PenFed Promise Credit Card...

I was approved a few days ago for the PenFed Promise Credit Card and an auto refi (also from PenFed)...Should I app to see if they'll give me another card?

You can try...same HP for 90 days. I tried and got denied.

I was able to get another CC after being approved 2 days prior. FIrst one was an instant approval but 2nd was sent to LO but was approved within 24hrs. I say go for it. Good luck

Yes as you have nothing to lose anyway when it comes to inquiries.. It will be the same inquiry for 90 days..

As already stated, can't hurt.

As I think you've read, I got the Visa Sig & PLOC(on recon) THEN, I noticed the great APR on Promise & got declined for "pyramiding debt". Which thoroughly confuses me and I may recon that simply because of the reason, not so much being declined.

Had they said, let's get to know each other a little while first...

Overall, I'm quite happy with PenFed, Their CSRs are quick to reply and very accomodating. Complete opposite of NASA, ya gotta throw a brick at 'em to get THEIR attention!

ok...tried again...this is my last app as I have all that i need...it says app pending review. i hope i didn't spook them and take back all my credit. LOL

I am officially gardening until my daughter starts to learn how to drive and momma needs to buy her a car.

Was your first card an auto approval or did it go to a loan officer as well?

If the first was auto, you might still be in luck. If not...this could be bad news.

I BELIEVE ALL additional apps are reviewed by a LO after the first, even if it was an instant approval. The bigger question even if approved is APR, 7.99 is pretty sweet, 16.99 not so much.

Congrats!! It's a step in the door. Give it 6 months, maybe 12 and they will give you more. I got $1k my first Penfed card. I wanted to just close it, but am glad I didn't.
