WM card approval

I have the itch to keep going with apps since Discover IT was approved last week for $1500, so I decided to try for a WM card since I am a AU on DH JCP card and have excellent credit on it. Got instant approval online for $1100!! Called the UW # for GEMB to ask for higher CL of $5000 since I have read ppl having great success doing this immediately, unfortunately I wasn't as lucky But its a good starting CL I think for the store card and from what I'm reading will grow pretty quick to help lower my util %. Anybody have success getting either a PC to the WM discover or it auto converting? If so, how long after getting the store card did this happen?

I got the upgrade at 26 months with a 676 FICO iirc.
I started out with a $800 store version, and after 2-3 years grew it to a $15k Wmt Discover.
Tips:
Request a cli EVERY four months. It will be denied usually if you don't let a balance report. So be sure to use it.

I started at $700 with the store card upgraded at 26 months to the Discover. I have seen people with less the a year get upgraded. Congrats !

Congrats on the Approvals. I got approved for the WM Discover with a 696 Tru score. I have the paypal extras for about a 3 months before i went for the walmart one..

Thanks All for the congrats! I hadn't applied for any new credit (outside of car loans) in about 5 years for fear of rejection knowing that my scores aren't great and that I do have an old BK due to fall off next yr and a couple baddies from 2009 when DH lost his job and those CCC were not willing to work with me on pymt arrangements so I defaulted I'm really wanting to get back over 700 across the board and know that getting more CL in the mix will help lower my overall util % and help boost my scores. With the 2 new cards I've aquired + the CLI Cap1 EO gave me I've managed to get it down to about 25%. Still have 50% util on 1 Cap1 card I'm working feverishly on dropping but its going to take some time. I also apped Texans CU (my bank) for their rate advantage Visa but was denied because of the (2)CO from 2009. I have a stellar car loan history(18 mo) with them as well as moved all my banking to them a little over a yr ago so I was a little annoyed when I called for recon and got stonewalled, esp after reading on here that CU are the way to go.
