So after going 5/5 the past couple days and getting every card I actually WANT (except the Sallie Mae, haven't app'd yet) I am considering going for the Sallie Mae. I already got the Venture, Freedom, Discover, Amex BCE, & Citi DP cards which really completes what I am looking for. The more I think about it though the Sallie Mae is really the last card I want at this time. I was planning on entering the garden for the next 2 years, but being less than 24 hours in I don't know... What you guys think?

I'd have applied for Sallie Mae first...

You will probably get approved anyway... may be instant or may have to recon. Hard to say.

Congrats on your approvals so far. My recommendation is to wait 6-12 months and then go for SM. Leave that for later and enjoy your new cards now. Barclays is new account and inq sensitive. Apart from the 5 brand new cards how many cards do you have in total and how many of these are less than 2 years old?

I have 2 other cards. 1 Citi, 1 Cap One both 4 years old

Looks like I'll have to recon.. Got the 10 day message. Anyway time to garden for 2 years starting today as I have everything I want and need at this point.

I got the 7-10 day as well. Then at 4 am then next morning I had an approval email. Many others have had the same luck! Good luck to you!

Thanks I can only hope! But either way I'm glad I got it out of the way! It was the only thing holding me back from the garden. Now all the pressure is gone

In the meantime you can also see if there is any result on the app status line. I did this with the US Airways card and all of the sudden got a congratulations message.

People on this site have been convincing me every day to wait on that Venture, and every day I keep almost clicking "Apply" LOL

Can't do that with my low scores right now though xD

Well, you do need a chase slate to make sure you get all 3 Ficos for free. You have TU/EQ with Barclays/Discover and Citi. Now you just need EX
