Sorry about the font, this thing refuses to cooperate.

I'm sooooo thrilled!!! I've been in the garden since I did the shopping cart trick for my Express card a month ago (last app before that in 08/12) and after seeing all of these approvals for Discover, I just couldn't help myself. I swear, I was sweating profusely throughout the whole application process. But it went perfect! After filling out the first page with address, income etc., it submitted that info and came back with another screen that asked me to enter my occupation and length of employment (I kind of had a feeling that this step may be skipped for someone with an excellent credit profile. But after I entered that, it just said:

Congrats (My Name), You're our newest cardmember.

Thanks for choosing Discover itTM. When your card arrives in the mail, call to activate it. Then enjoy the treatment you deserve.

I'm sitting here in my cubicle and seriously got teary eyed when I saw that and I still can't believe it!

It said the card will be here in 7-10 days and nowhere did it tell me my credit limit.

My credit profile:

656 - EQ FICO (1 inq)

701 - TU FICO (1 inq) (I finally made it to the 700 club this past weekend [do I qualify with only one bureau at 700+ ]

3 PIF Collections from 2008-09.

Cards - 6% Utilization:

Cap 1 Card ($600)

MEFCU Card ($500)

Express Store Card ($500)

AU on BOA CashRewards ($500)

Congrats to you!!! I also got approved and just received my card in the mail.. What credit limit did they approve you for if you dont mind me asking.. I had to call and find out.. it didnt tell me..

Congrats to us! I just got off the phone with CS - $3000 CL!!!!! This is friggin' amazing!! I was trying to stay cool when she said it, but I know she could tell! Haha.

I couldn't have started the week off any better! I mean... Just 6 months ago I had to recon for my secured credit card with my credit union!

LOL im sure you had the same facial expression i had when i was approved for chase for 3000... i was like "Umm say that again" .. Having limited history i was surprised to get that kind of a limit..

Congrats!

Just called earlier this evening after work because I got approved online but wanted to know my CL.

I called up and they said I had been aprroved for $6,000.....same thing, I played it off all cool but was flipping out.

I have a good mix of credit, 5 baddies a few years back 2 60 day and 1 90 day (ouch..log story of how I never paid attention to money when I was 22-25) . A 673 EQ Myfico score and 6k CL, I'll take it.

Haha - Thanks everyone for kind words! I just got home from work and the miserable traffic I sit in everyday seemed so much more tolerable today because it gave me a chance to sit there with a huge smirk on my face without people thinking that I'm a psycho.
