I'm rebuilding. My scores are 725/750/665 at the moment. Per the crazy feeding frenzy on this forum, I applied on a wing and a prayer. Instant approval for $30K! My total overall credit prior to this was <$2K.

Insane.

I have no idea who they pulled. Just got the "Slam Dunk!" message with the limit and that it'd be arriving in 5-7 days. I am assuming not Ex as it is my lowest of the three scores. TU is my highest at 750 but I have a thin file with one collection and a few missed payments two years ago. Did not expect $30K. I have a relatively high annual income that may have factored into it. My other cards are a Cap1 $800 and a Cap1 secured $1150.

Riding the buzz, I applied for DiscoverIT and got approved, too, but they wouldn't even tell me what limit so it must not be very high. Either way, its a good day for my credit.

Trying to buy a house at the end of the year and the thicker file will help. My AAoA was short to begin with so I am assuming the massive limit increases will offset any negatives there and then some.

Well I would assume they pulled TU. That is a pretty epic approval considering your other cards. Don't think I have ever seen that before. Congrats also on Discover approval. Today is definitely your day! Hell while you're at it, check Chase prequal site see if you get any offers.

The NBA card from BBVA is only Amex cobranded card. It's not backed by Centurion bank. It's the same as Dillard's Amex or Macy's Amex. It's just the network it uses.

Called Discover and my line is $9K. Not a bad day at all. Feeling mad with power, I applied for a Chase Amazon and got a "we'll get back to you in writing". Bummer.

Tried to apply for a Chase Freedom, but their form sucks and won't let me put my Mother's maiden name in full and therefore stalled at that stage of the app.

Any other decent cards that pull TU or EQ but not EX I should go and apply for today before all these inquiries hit?

I mean, if not, I'm totally satisfied with increasing my overall credit 20-fold today. ☺

Barclays pulls TU. Check out Ring or Sallie Mae. How long have you had your other cards? They like to see 6 to 12 months history at least

Its been 4 years on one and8 months on another. Rebuilding... My scores were sub 600 last summer. A whole lot of PFDs later...

I will give Barclaycard a try.

Next question: Do I just pick the one with the best rewards structure to use and keep a zero or negligible balance on the rest? You people with 5+ cards--- seems it would dilute any rewards structure to use them all, right?

use the backdoor number and call chase now... app is probably in security department and they will just transfer you to ask some questions and then approve.

You can use all the cards you want to fit your needs.
Different cards have different rewards. You would have to decide which works for me. I have multiple cards with multiple uses. Just pif all but 1 before statement hits for optimum Fico scoring. The one you choose, let it post balance less than 10% of your total limits.
