Finished Capital One's "Credit Steps"!

From $300 to $500, I'm a little bummed that the limit is still so low. I look forward to having a "real" credit limit one of these days, one step at a time. Thanks for reading

Ya cap1 doesnt really make sense on who they give $200 increases for and 2k-3k increases too... Have you tried to hit the CLI increase button yet? You are eligable every 6 months I believe regardless of credit steps or not.. Try to hit it and see if it will give you any extra!

Congrats! I remember having that feeling when I got an increase on my first CapOne card!

I'm nervous to try it because I just got approved for a Macy's card yesterday.

You can try it every day if you want, it is only a SP and won't hurt your credit.. The worse they can do is decline you..

With your improved scores based off your signature, you might be better off apping for a second card from them. You might get a higher limit with a second card from them. Just an idea....

Thank you, I thought about doing just that but I used the pre-selector site and nothing matched for me so I thought maybe app'ing for a new card would be in vain.

I never have pre-qualifications on any of the websites. Chase, Capital One, etc.....never had a pre-qual but have always been approved. As the saying around here goes, your situation may vary. I have the Quicksilver, I apped for Venture, Venture limit was drastically higher than the Quicksilver. This was during the Venture craze, so who knows.

Congrats! Did you check their prequal site? What about Chase prequal site ? Your scores aren't far from mine and I started with higher limit and was able to get Chase Freedom.

You can also request a credit limit increase online or via the EO in addition to the steps increase. Try it as it is a sOft pull anyways

I tried it but got the 2-3 day notice. I app'd for the QS1 and was approved for $500, I'm laying low for awhile. lol

p.s. EO? How might I go about this?
