Capital One Quicksilver and Platinum

I was finally approved yesterday, starter limits on both cards(500.00)but between both approvals that is 1000.00. That is more credit than I've ever had in my life... Lol. I'm praying to be automatically enrolled in the credit steps. I applied back to back for both cards and as far as I can see I only got hit with 3 hard pulls instead of 6. This morning between my inquiry and my Capital One secured card reporting I woke up to a not so great 24 point drop to my score. If anyone knows do you receive a congratulations letter in the mail or email after applying online?

Congratulations! The emails will take a couple of days. I got an email stating that my Platinum card is in the credit steps program but I never got one saying the same about my Quck Silver One.

Wow. What are the chances that we both applied for the same combination of cards on the same day. I just got two $500 starting limits on mine too for the Platinum/QuicksilverOne; I'll make a thread later too but first I want to see if they double pulled or just single pulled the bureau. I guess I could've tried for Venture but I don't think my profile warrants it right now. Maybe a year from now after these new cards age. Congratulations to us both!

They'll both be in credit steps, with the starting limit being low like that. You should receive your email in a week or so after you have received and activated your cards.

Mine was double pulls but that may be because I did the apps on different days. I got a $1k limit on QS!1 and 500 on Platinum.

You will receive an email and they will mail you your card. Both of these cards automatically go through the credit steps!! Congrats!

Thanks everyone! I'm so happy I have someone to share my news with. I know they are small amounts but I am excited cause it lets me know I am doing something right.
I do know that they didn't double pull me cause I only received an alert for one inquiry. I'm praying another one doesn't pop up later.

Erusidhion- that's crazy we both applied the same day and got the same limit. I can't wait to read your post. Congrats to you! Maybe one day we can get bigger limits and more prime. I know it's coming... Just got to have patience.

Congrats! But in my opoinion, you should have applied for 2 quicksilver ones. The regular platinum one does not have any benefit for me.

I wish I had known earlier to apply for two quicksilver cards but this credit card game is new to me. Oh well... Lesson learned.

You can always try and call after a few months to have it switched over to the QS or keep the platinum and just ask them that you want to earn the 1.5% back. All 3 of my capital one accounts (2 platinum & 1 QS) all earn 1.5%.

To answer my initial question... Capital One just sent me an email stating Congrats and they will send me another email when they ship my card!!!! Yayyyy!!! I'm so excited to start seeing my cards grow!!!!
