Chase Marriott Rewards Approved back to back!!!

So 4days after my Chase Hyatt approval and still feeling good I decided to try my luck with the Mariott card. Filled out and submitted the application only to get the "we require further processing message." I was disappointed and blamed myself for being very stupid to apply right after an approval. I promised never to call the backdoor number and just let them do whatever they feel like. However I kept track of the status thru the automated system until this morning when I called, it went from the 2weeks to a 7-10days notice. At that point I figured I was declined but on a whim I called the backdoor #. Got a nice lady who basically told me to go into the branch and submit proof of physical address. Seriously, I literally just submitted it a week ago for the Hyatt application and gotta do it again for the Marriott app. Well I went into the branch, had the banker call in and verify my address on the bill over the phone to the lending department. About 10mins later, they put me on the line and approved for $5000. Never even referenced the Hyatt app or asked why I was applying for another card. Did I tell u guys I'm in love with Chase now lol?! Trust me I am... even though they refused to increase my Freedom stuck at a $500 CL lol

lol Congrats! Chase is so weird but when you end up with positive results it doesnt matter.

Sometimes there's just no rhyme or reason for what the credit card company will request - just happy it worked out for you.

Big Congrats mister-endowed. i know we were teasing you last week. with the 500 limit. This more than makes up for it. Did you cold app or did you get another pre approval?something going on with this verification thing. don't know what. but it was also a nightmare for me.

Thats awesome! I just went through an ordeal with them on verificaton! I was finally approved today at the branch after they spoke with lending. Congratulations!

hahaha yeah u one of them that made me take a big leap on this one, I hate u lol... but yeah I did cold app, never ever gotten a pre-approval from Chase or any other creditor. Also the banker told me what causes the verification issue when applying online. I wasn't really interested in what she was saying but I remember she said something like the system generates a seperate new profile each time u apply online for a new card and if it cant automatically link the app to ur existing profile then it pushes it for a manual review where someone can further verify the identifying information and then link the new account to ur existing profile. Not like I care but they gotta get it together.... Anyways I'm glad urs eventually worked out, did u get ur card yet??

I feel ya pain but I'm happy u eventually got ya approval... that's all that matters ya know so congrats to that!

Thanks. got it last friday. only 30 dollars from the 500 spend on that one. then SD time. it will come fairly quickly im sure. congrats again.

Nahh I don't have the Ritz card, B335is... had to give it up for the Citi Prestige. Wish I could have both but that'll be an overkill. Still got a spot on my wishlist and thanks btw
