PayPal Credit (Bill Me Later) hidden TL question

When applying for this product, how does it look on your reports? I understand that I'll take an EQ HP. That's a given. But being that it's a hidden TL, what happens after I get the HP? Will there any indication on my reports that I have a PPC account?

Let's say I apply and get approved. I get the HP on my EQ and I get a MyFICO inquiry alert shortly after. A month passes. I apply with another lender who pulls EQ and they pull my report to approve or deny. They see my HP for PPC from the previous month. Do they see anything else? Will it appear as if I was denied since there is no account reporting? Or does the account show up, just without an outstanding balance or payment history?

I guess this goes for any hidden TL, but it's the PPC one that I'm actually interested in.

They see nothing other than the inquiry.. They have no clue if you were approved or not... hence hidden.

No problem.. Enjoy your Hidden TL if you decide to go for it.. I personally love it.. That way if I need to carry a balance other creditors can't see it. Just recenty got mine from 1k to 2k.. Ideally would like to have about a 4-5k hidden TL, but that will come in time.

Nice. I've only ever needed mine up to $2k. I agree that it's very, very handy. (Also has made for some impulsive eBay purchases—it's easier to justify things when you have six months to pay for them, LOL.)

I used my $3,5016 paypal credit all the time! nice little way of keeping that balance hidden from the other lenders (;

can't forget about my Hidden 15k Diner's card either (:

Ya would love to have the diner's on my profile, but it wasn't in near as good as shape as it is today or would of been all over that.. One can only hope they will open up applications again at some point, but not looking to promising

Agree... The moment they open that door, I am quickly running through it I waited and waited and lost the chance to apply for it. So this time, when Diners come around, I will be in line also..

I'm really thinking of going for it this weekend. I'm just worried I get denied and will have to use a different payment method for this eBay item. It's $1580 so I'd hate to have to put this on one of my other cards and have to pay it off immediately. Once I hit the Buy It Now button, I will HAVE to go through with the purchase, whether I get approved for PCC or not.

My EQ is looking pretty good at 782 at the moment. But I have been approved for 3 new accounts last week, 2 of which are already reporting ($6k CareCredit and a $5.5k PenFed Visa). My PenFed PLOC hasn't been detected yet.

My other option, rather than commiting to buy the item and taking the chance with a PPC app, is to apply for PPC outside of eBay and hope I get approved for enough to buy the item once the accounts get linked up. However, if I go that route and I'm approved for less than I need, I will probably have to take an addtional HP to see if they'll give me a CLI right away.

Any advice?

Do it by paypal, not ebay imo... They tend to start of with blah limits and if you don't have enough to cover it and it wont approve for the full amount then you can't use the payment method and it is worthless for the purchase... That is the downfall of PPC.. You can't split payments between it and say another card.. You might get approced for the full 1580 or so, maybe not.. Your scores are great.. Problem is it doesn't ask income during the application.. Just when you call in.. At least it didn't ask me income thus didn't take it into consideration.

So you're suggesting I apply directly through PayPal's website instead of eBay's checkout? I guess that's a safer route. If I don't get approved for enough, I guess I could just use it here and there and hope for an auto CLI in some time, like others have reported.

I dint think they give out auto cli, or allow you to request 1.you can increase cl whenever you attempt to purchase something that more than your available credit.

It you go beyond your CL then that is one way of getting a possible CLI, also they ocassionally do hand out CLI as many members have gotten them there is also a 3rd way of possibly getting one which is similar to the first way by having two paypal accounts and transferring to your other paypal account beyond the limit and then putting into bank account and paying it off.. Obviously the final way costs the paypal fees and a bit of time on transferring money around and paying it off etc. Hope this helps, Also if you have 2 paypal accounts one must be business and one must be personal

Suprised you didnt get more with your score .. Max out the CL and pay if off if you can find a way or something beyond that CL and see if it gets approved.

Its a HP also cannnot have it on the same Paypal Account.. One indvidual can have two paypal accounts a business and a personal. So would have to set up another and do it on that if interested
