Amazon Store Card Approval (ADVICE)

After reading approvals on these forums and checking CPD I decided to apply for this card. Amazon Store Card ( not the VISA) appears to pull from Transunion. Current score at the time was 625. No collections and only 2 inquiries. Instantly approved for $800. YES! The card is immediately placed on your account for use. As well, if you sign up for Amazon Prime (which I hadn't renewed membership yet) you get 5% cash back. Thing is, you cant use your Store Card to purchase Prime which was weird. So with more research, I found you can send Amazon Prime as a gift to yourself, which CAN be purchased with the Store Card. Combine that with the $40 sign-up bonus I was able to get Prime for about $67. So I have a new card and renewed Prime Membership in only a few minutes. Even better, is Im now in with Synchrony Bank. May the CLI commence!!!

It's one of the best Synchrony cards IMO. Grows really fast, even if you don't get a CLI right away. If you let it sit for a few months, you might get an auto CLI and then after that, CLI button itself will work.

Congrats!! I found the same thing weird. I didn't know you could gift prime to yourself. I did discover that you could use the visa to pay for prime. (I know you said you had the store version though) I applied for the visa and while jumping through hoops with Chase, I decided to just apply for the store card and got that almost immediately. So I use that primarily for the 5% back as a prime member and will just let the prime membership be charged to the visa since I finally got it approved.

I have a hard time not wanting to max that card out every time I look on their site Sooo much random neat "stuff".
