Macy's Major Purchase account Approved easy as pie

So i came up on a few threads about a Major Purchase Account. and reading that they will be merged in the coming months and what not. most people were saying to call. so i hit up the chat feature and asked if i would elegible to open one. CSR asked me for income, rent, and how much i planned to purchase. which i told mattress and furniture and a little under 10k CSR took about 3 mins and came back with an approval of a type 30 account of 10k..

Not bad.. now the waiting game until it merges! wooho

took me like 7 mins total. or even less!

Congratulations.

I never a thread for mine but I also got Club Account for the same limit as Furniture. Most amazing part about this is no HP to do this and the combined limits total from Macys will be more than the highest limit I ever had. So glad I don't have to go to a CU or anything like that to get this sort of limit card either.

Do you know how long it takes to get a CLI on the revolving account? Mine is $1k right now.

i like SP CL. ha i told my gf and she was like you spend too much time reading myfico haha

and on the regular macy's revolver? i ask for one one every 3-4 months!

hopefuly they merge these accts. on june or so. i do use both amex and macys line often. every thing retail related.

I guess I can ask for one in June then. I just gotta put a charge on the card finally and pay it in full. Do they require a lot of spending for CLIs?

Also I'd be surprised if they gave more. This is seriously quite a lot from them. I had no idea they were this generous.

im sure that even without a lot of usage you will get an increase! i would not wait that long to get it. specially since its a SP
