Question about Bloomingdales online Amex approval

Hi, a few days ago i was approved for bloomies card online, SL $1500, they also gave me $10k for major purchases. This morning i received an e-mail welcoming me to Amex Bloomies family.. I was thinking that only instore applications can be considered for Amex..Are they for real or its just a glitch?? Also, since they re merging all account in July, does this mean that my available credit for major purchases will be shifted to Amex card?? Thank you!

Did you request the card by phone?

I got the same email this morning! I am wondering if it is just a glitch as well. I applied online Saturday, but had to call in to verify info. My limit is also 1500, but the representative did not say that it was the Amex.

No, just got verified by phone.. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is in fact amex card..

Same thing happened to me. I saw that Bloomie's Amex email last month and I got so excited. Turned out to be a fluke. They need to fix that!!!

Congrats to those that did actually get thr Amex.
