Bank of America Threesome!

Since Bank of America was rumored to merge multiple HPs performed on the same day, I figured I'd go for it, and applied for three cards at one shot.

Well, they HP'd on the original application date (5th), and then about two weeks later (18th) they HP'd again on the same bureau. I received three score letters with three different scores on them, so apparently BoA HP'd three times on the 18th, but the bureau collapses the requests because they assume they're duplicates.

The results:

Better Balance Rewards (for the $30/quarter): $5,000 (additional credit)

MLB Mastercard (works like a 1-2-3 Cash Rewards, but adds PayPass and has the Phillies logo on it): $5,000 (additional credit)

Cash Rewards Visa (1-2-3): $16,000 was reallocated from an older Visa I didn't use much.

So, I took two EX HP's in the end, added $10k of new CL, earn $100 bonus for spending $500 on the MLB, another $100 bonus for $500 with the Cash Rewards, and added the BBR which they refused to budge on just PC'ing an old account. Not bad.

Oh, and 12 months 0% APR promotion, LOL.

Why do you assume the bureau will collapse the requests?

I'm wondering this as well. What indication is giving this info to you especially those hp's were not. The same day. Curious. To see it on your. Report.

BOA Credit Analyst told me that they cannot do another pull for 30 days. She told me that over the phone when I was reconning my denail on Cash Reward card, due to I had a CO on my Credit report btw was an error on my report, since then EXP have been updated and the said acct. is in good standing.

Congrats. I just ended my relationship with BofA and had everything moved over to my fidelity amex.

Fidelity Amex, which is serviced by Bank of America, aka FIA.

Based on the letters, Experian must collapse the multiple HPs that occur from the same source on the same day - at the end of the day.

Looks like "Bank of America" is the computer, and "BK of Amer" is the manual reviewer.
