Lowes approval, then cli denial

We are in need of some new appliances, and ive been wanting to apply for Lowes for awhile. Paid amazon off so figured now was a good time. Applied in store, instant approval for $800. 👍🏼 Im happy with the initial limit, as i know many start off with $3-500.

Of course I immediately called credit solutions and requested a cli ($5,000) , so i could take advantage of the card and financing offer. Denied, then she said "hold on a second", so i had hope. But nope, will receive denial in 7-10days. Oh well. I tried. 😏

I called (866) 519-6441 because i see thats synchronys credit analyst/solution number. Hope that was the right one. I searched but couldnt figure out if i should call the lowes or synchrony number.

Should i even bother with chat or wait for 4statements? Cant until i get the card because temp card only has last four of the card number.

Either way, im super happy to have this card! I like it for emergencies and the special financing. We live in a verrry old house, and always need something. Guess ill buy something small, and pif until i see increases.

Any recent luck with Lowes growing big like they used to?

Congrats on the apprroval and sorry about the denial. This is just a guess, but it could be b/c your scores a kinda low and looking at you signature you don't already have any high CL ($5K and up) experience.

Yeah scores are still hovering under 650 (siggys a little old). My highest is $2,000 and $1800, (except for kays $3800 but thats a store card). But i thought lowes would counter so i aimed high. Its all good, for now 😉

Congrats op. sorry for decline. get you something that will give you huge limit. as big limits begets big limits. such as a jcrew that will grow in less than 10 months. then you will get the large limits even with the lower scores.

Mmm funny you should mention Jcrew... I finally got the popup for it yesterday. Im highly considering taking it. I have no immediate needs for a loan and Lowes was my first new account in > 6months.

But i sure hope my Lowes grows faster than Walmart and Amazon!!!

Congrats on the approval! From what I've read the Sync cards tend to grow quickly, so be a little patient.
