Macy's Card Approved!

I went online because Macy's is having some good sales now.

I decided to try for a card since my numbers have been going up.

I was approved instantly. Not a big amount ($300.00) to start.

But I am in with Macy's so that is a good thing.

Congrats on teh approval. While the CL might not be much, it should grow as you age the account.

I just closed my Macy's account because I rarely shop there anymore.

But they were always friendly when I needed to call them. Macy's/Bloomie's were good store cards. I started with limits at $300 and moved up.

When Christmas time came, Bloomingdales had no problem giving me an extra $2,000 Club Account for the jewelry gifts I bought. And I wouldn't have known about had it not been for Credit Services when I called to ask about credit line increases.

You could probably get the club and special events accounts if you want a quick easy CLI. They're merging the accounts together. Only bad thing is that the account will report as a seperate TL.

What are your scores? On line approvals are many times less than if you app in store. You may be able to call and get a higher limit if your scores are high enough.

Congrats! Give them a call and see if they'll increase your CL. I started with $100 and once I called and answered some security questions and got $600.
