Felt a little good about my good fortune over this past weekend so decided to request an increase on my JCP credit card. The limit was $6000 and I requested $9000 via chat. I was given a number to call along with a reference number for "further assistance". Called in and put on hold for about 5 minutes and came back with the "Congratulations Mr. keithbward, your request has been approved and it will reflect on your account in 2-3 minutes." Awesome. Still looking for that JCP mastercard upgrade. But for this card to have started as $500 11 months ago and be at $9000 is just really a testament to the knowledge i've gathered from this site.

Nice. I knew JCP had growing potential. Got mine up from $300 to $5k after instant approval and using chat and id love to get it up higher. How often did you use the card?

I actually shop at jcp alot. I'm at platinum status. I rack up on dress shirts and ties and sportcoats all the time. But when i got my first increase via chat i hadn't even used the card alot. I actually did chat 3 times in one month to go from $700 to $2500 to $3500 to $6000

Congrats on success! JCP was very helpful in my rebuild, so I like seeing a good JCP story.

For those who need activity on their JCP CC, the card is still accepted at Rite Aid. Purchases there count toward your level status (Gold, Platinum), but not for JCP Rewards.

The chat is not always there. I think you can find it in regular business hours and when someone is available. Good luck.
