Fidelity Amex CLI

Last month i posted about how FIA Card Services increased my credit from 10k to 20k, only to find out that they took 10k from my BofA card. I eventually closed both BofA cards to make my Fidelity Amex 30k. That was on May 28, 2015. Well I called today because I was nearing the 30 day mark for them to use the same HP for a CLI. I was transferred to a credit analyst at my request. Explained that I wanted to do the balance transfer offer of 0% until January 2017 for 16k but didnt want to exceed 50% of my credit limit. She asked how much did I want. I said just 5k since they had basically denied me a CLI last month (they just reallocated my credit lines). After a 3 minute hold she comes back and said your new credit line is 35k. I love FIA Card Services. I should have went for the 40k but played it conservative. I'll hit them up again in 4-6 months.

Thanks. I don't see 500k by the end of the year. I'll be lucky to get there by the end of next year. The only thing left in the works is possibly an 8k CLI from USAA which will max me out with them next month. I also plan on applying for another WF card, which if approved, will likely be only $2,500. I was looking at BB&T since they just gobbled up Bank of Kentucky and now have two branches in Ohio. Unfortunately, they havent updated their website to allow OH applications online.

Thanks. My initial scores were about the same as yours last year when I first got in with them. My scores went up and now are back where they where a year ago. Hasn't stopped WF, USAA, and FIA from showing me much love.

You're welcome. Just remember if and when you go for the fidelity Amex, if denied definitely recon. I was initially denied and then approved on recon for 5k. That was just in March 2014 and through the addition of CLI's and two subsequent BofA cards in June and July 2014, my Fidelity card is now at 35k. Anything is possible with FIA Card Services.

Excellent, I'm going to app for this card in a couple months, my EX fico is currently a 740 and expect a small bump when my oldest cards hit 12 months and my youngest hit 6 months. Thats when I plan to go for this card. Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. Only have a couple defaulted student loans from about 6 years ago as baddies.

@12njoy: You also might consider applying with PNC Bank---not sure if they're local to you or not, but they seem to start people off pretty good with SL's and give pretty good increases as well. Just a thought.
