Been a while-Approved AMEX BCP

Been a while since I've been on the site posting (been lurking on the boards for a while lol). It has also been ages since I applied for a new card. Since the last time I posted really the only thing that happened was my ex wife and I bought a house. We have since divorced and sold the house. Long story short no real impact on credit. I had been getting a bunch of preapprovals in the mail and have been considering a new card. Not that I really need one as my others have had a zero balance for about 7 months. But I have been thinking again of trying to bump up my scores a little more. They are not bad at all just not exactly where I want them. I believe my last look at the scores where about 770. So I went for it and applied for the AMEX BCP today. I had several that popped up on line. 1 was reg ED and other was a pref ED. I chose the cash back feature on the BCP. I was approved!! So just saying hi and saying I got approved. Not sure how long it will take for me to get it but I'm excited. Cash back feature will be nice I feel.

Well not only did I get an approved AMEX BCP but had successful CLI increases of 1k and 1,500 on my Cap1 and Citi cards! Been a good week!

Got my card yesterday and activated. Was wondering about the CLI as I've seen different posts about how you should wait but some say just go ahead and do it at activation. Since I activated last night and I didn't request CLI should I just wait now? I'm not pressed to do so. I'm really happy I got another card and a decent one at that. I just need to work on getting that $250.00 sign on bonus lol.

You don't have to wait at all. People say do it at activation, meaning after the activation/ after receiving the card, but it does not mean that you can't do it next day after the activation. Go ahead and good luck.
