Macys Amex approved, go for Bloomies now?

yesterday i applied for an upgrade and amex logo appeared today. they dont say what the limit is, got to wait for mail;(( Anyway, i also have bloomies card, but already applied for their amex in may and was declined..Should i give it another try or wait a bit? When do you guys think i can call and ask for limit again? I apologise for typos-using iphone

How old is your Bloomingdale's card and what is your limit? How old is your Macy's and what limit did you get on the Am Ex?

macys is about 3 month old, bloomies 1 month yonger. They dont say what the limit is "pls wait for mail to arrive";(

I would wait on Bloomingdale's till it is 5-6 months old. With Macy's call 1-800-477-2167 9-5 EST M-F.

I called to upgrade my Bloomingdale's last Thursday and called the automated system today and Am Ex was set up, 0 balance $1500 available. My account is 7 months old.

Macy's Am Ex I apped in the store for and was approved, $1000 store limit, $3000 Am Ex.

With the two different LOCs, how will that affect things when they do the changeovers of the other special accounts they have? Do the Amex and regular account appear seperately on your credit reports? Just curious, as I am not interested in having the AMEX version of the card. There was a time I would have been and if they had given it to me when I applied I would have taken it. My Macy's account is now two years old and I really don't shop that much there anyway, however I know that will change!

The Am Ex version reports as a separate trade line. The store accounts will bundle into one.

If you try to upgrade to the Am Ex version, it is a sp.

hey bears, us bank secured for about 8 months.. it served its purpose, i had to cancel it

how do you apply for the amex version? I have the store card already.

just call macys and tell them that you want to give them a chance to serve your needs with amex card)
