Bank of America ... LOL!! (UPDATE)

Ok, so today I app'd for the Bank of America Rewards card... Hahahaha!!!! I knew I would be denied; I was hoping for the counter offer of 99/500.. no dice. So, I decided to call and I spoke with a very nice analyst... he explained to me that they would like to see my BK competely off my reports (several more years), however, that I WAS sent a 'counter-offer' in the mail.. Couldn't tell me which one..., but if it's for the fully secured... I will continue to laugh all the way to capital one for the quicksilver1....

****He made no mention of the fact that I was an (au) of a 10k card 5 yrs ago that got 'settled'.... so apparently not ~blacklisted~ (???)

AUs would never get blacklisted as you're not responsible for repayments

Take the counter offer if it is a 99/500! I was also denied at first then they sent me the 99/500 offer. My scores were incredibly low and it was the first card I got. Now 7months later and here I am with scores in prime territory. They were the ticket for me to get in with Chase. Good luck!

My plan worked... 99/500 offer via mail letter (with Rewards!) Reason being BK (discharged 2008)... it's alright, a fresh start with them.. YAY!!

Congrats! I use this card for groceries and have racked up cash rewards. Hoping after this next statement they will unsecured it and cli. One thing I noticed is that on the sixth month I had a hot link to request credit limit increase. This luv button was not an option for me before and they have definitely been soft pulling me, but due to home buying process I'm not requesting anything, yet. Call them to see of they will waive the annual fee. They did it for me.

I accepted the same offer after having problems with a CO with them in 2008 and I am grateful for another chance with them too.

Where is the link to a Luv button, on the first page of the account status? My screen has an upper portion that shows the basic info on the account, like the CL, due date, amount available, cash advance stats, etc and on the right side is a 'pay this card' with a bill pay and transfer option. The bottom of the screen is the activity since last statement area.

Do you see the link on the right side in the 'pay this card' area? I dont see a conspicuous absence where a link would go, but its easy to redesign a page.

Also, do they have an area where they show a Fako score? I dont see that either.

I have had B of A accounts since 1999 but this secured Visa is new.
