Nice little run my Son got over the last week.

So, I was visiting with him about a week ago and he told me he wanted to add a card to his portfolio. Knowing his scores, which are quite high, I suggested he check out Capital One. He was a bit skeptical, since he'd had one of the builder cards years ago, which refused to grow and ultimately he closed it. So I got him on the site and he chose to app for a QS card, even though he had no preapproval. Boom! Got it with a $15k limit. Fast forward to a couple nights ago, he sent me a text and had decided to add a couple more, since his inquiries are very low. He figured he'd just take the HP hits now and then chill for awhile. He asked me about Chase. I told him most of the Chase approvals I see are not as high as some of the lines I see from Cap One. He liked a Chase Slate card with no AF and a 0% for first 21 mos offer, so he apped for it. He got $11.6k. I told him he might as well see if he could get a Venture card while he was on the spree. He said I hate annual fees. I said, fine then see if you can grab a Venture One with no AF. A few minutes later he texts me "nervous" A few seconds later he texed me "approved $30k" So a very nice haul of over $56k on 3 new cards. Obviously very proud of the kid!

super congrats but if he isn't using Slate for BT, it's a worthless card... it gives 0 rewards!
