PayPal Extras is an excellent card. Fairly underrated on the boards but the limit grows quickly and the 3X points on dining works out to around ~2.5% which is better than most in that category. I mainly just use mine for eBay purchases, but it's one of my oldest accounts and it really is a good card.

Awesome! I have Ebay MasterCard and they are pretty much the same card. I think they are one of the better synch cards although you have to put serious spend on it to redeem rewards.

Everytime I log into one of my paypal account (not one with paypal credit) I get the pop-up to apply for this card, not a pre-approval, but they seem to be pushing it now or maybe my credit profile finally triggered something.. I was tempted, but just can't take the chance of a low SL or even worse smart connect.

just bad IMO, but yes if you don't qualify for the MC then smart connect gets connected to your paypal account and can use that.. Paypal credit is better then smart connect due to paypal credit being hidden TL and 0% apr's for given periods of time where-as smart connect is 26.99%apr I believe and isn't hidden.. Hope this helps.. It isn't bad, just paypal credit is better imo through comedity bank if you aren't going to get the paypal MC..

What was your FICO 08 TU score and total credit utilization percentage the day you applied for the PP Extras card?

Did you call the back door after you got the online $2K limit? I'm assuming you didn't. I want to apply with them in the next 60 days and trying to see as many people's approval TU scores and UTI as possible. Thanks

@Anonymous My TU score was around 680 at that time I only had a discover card (that was a month old) Cap One 4 years old,Credit One 2 years old and a VS card 3 months old.... A few days before applying for Paypal and Apple Visa I was also approved for Amed Ed all 3 cards 2k limits..........my TU file was okay I guess, I used about $300 out of my total credit limits of $3100 at that time... praying my scores jump back up soon so I can try to get an increase.....
