1st Round of Credit Line Increases

Well, I have gone through my first round of CLI and they are as follows:

IGH Chase it was 13,000 I split it with my Chase Freedom so now my IGH has 6,500.00 and my Chase Freedom has gone from 400 to 6900.00

Citi Double was too new to get a CLI so it remains at 5500.00

Capital Quick Silver 3000.00 to 3500

Capital One Venture 3000.00 to 5000.00

Capital One Spark 1500.00 to 2150.00

Virgin America 6000.00 to 8500.00

Discover 1700.00 to 2100.00

Paypal 1500.00 to 2500.00

Barclay Card 800.00 to 1830.00

Increase of 7,050 across the board

Store cards:

JC Penney 1000.00 to 2200.00

Best buy 2000.00 to 12,000.00

Gap 400.00 to 1100.00

Home Depot 750.00 to 10,750.00

Target 400 they said they are not raising CLI at this time..strange

Walmart 1200.00 to 2000.00

increase of 22,700 for store cards..

Maybe in Jan 2016 I will try again...or should I try sooner than that?

Also I would love that Chase Marriott..80k points...since I have a bunch of new accounts (more than 5 in the past two years) does anyone think I can get it? I know that they have that new rule. I read on the boad that it doesn't apply to Co-branded cards..is that true?

The chase 5 accounts rule seems to only apply to their flagship cards (freedom, csp, slate), not cobranded cards. Of course YMMV, but those seem to be easier to acquire.

Grats on the CLIs! Especially that Best Buy one. Wow Citi must really like you lol.

And I would wait till January, yes.

Great news. I just split my Chase's in June. How long afterwards did you ask for CLI?

..well, I went in asking for a credit line increase on my Chase Freedom which was at 400.00...they went through the process of confirming income, etc and then came back on the phone and said that they couldnt increase my limit on my Freedom..but they notice that I had the IGH at 13,000 and they could split it however I wanted. So, I will wait until Jan and ask for another increase and see what happens

...actually I was a little confused on that...on Capital One..they cliamed that they don't Hard Pull you credit...they said the same with Discover. I wonder how they are able to increase with a hard pull. I check CreditKarma and I saw about 4 inquires..I haven't check again today. Which I need to do

I got my IHG like two months ago with a starting limit of $12k.

Then 3 weeks ago applied for the Marriott. Got the 30 day message... but then today was APPROVED! For $16k.

And almost every card in my siggy I've gotten in the past 2 years, the Marriott being the most recent. I'd say they are generous with their co-branded cards.

You did very well!!!

As far as your Synchrony backed cards: JCPenney, Gap, & Walmart, you can request a CLI again in 4 months. Use the Chat feature and aim high, as they will counter. Keep in mind that Home Depot is backed by Citi and if it's not auto luv, then it's a HP hands down. Barclay & Cap1 are every 6 months for a CLI. With Target you don't request a CLI, they just grant you one when they feel like it. Use it and they will eventually oblige. CONGRATS!!!

I just got my Chase Marriot Card 16,000 ...I was very pleased. I have to say that this card has a different weight to it, and I really like the points system. This very well may be my main card. The only other card that I want is the Chase Saphire..which I am going to have to wait on since I have applied and open so many accounts. After that card I am done. I will continiue to try and raise the CLI on my cards that I have, but I don't think I will aquire any more.

With my Virgin CLI, I signed into my account and requested a CLI and they ended up calling me and after a couple of questions I got the CLI. I have tried before and got declined a number of months prior.
