Venture CLI - 75 days

Thank you to all that reported that you can get a good CLI with Cap1 at day 70-75. My Venture was 15K now 18K a 3K CLI.

I tried the CLI option a couple of times before, at 63 days or so and at 71 days, both times they say that a CLI of 750 was available, so I declined. Today was day 75 and tried again, this time the CLI was for 3K.

Once again this is my largest limit (I asked Amex for 15K less than a month ago). Now if only Discover or Chase could increase my limits without HP

Congrats on the CLI. You have to love Cap One when it comes to credit cards. Looking forward to apping for their Venture when I leave the garden.

Congrats! I got my $3k CLI just yesterday exactly 68days from date of approval. I'm just wondering if $3k is the max they offer with the luv button... I may have to experiment with my Venture One as it's yet to get some love. They been low balling at $1k so I stay declining for now.

That's good to know, so there is no exact date for the 3k CLI offer. I read 70-75 days but I guess that anything from a little over 2 months is enough.

Just keep trying until they offer 3k and not 400, 750 or 1k. Maybe they will offer 5k at 90+ days but I took the 3k so no way to know for me. Keep us posted!

I normally try right after the 60 day mark. This time, I decided to wait and it paid off. I think you'll get less closer to 60 than 70 days. Have 2 Venture's and I hit the button on the first Venture right on 60 days and got a 750.00. Second Venture was closer to the 75 day mark and I got 3k. Same exact cards with same limits.

Congratulations to the OP,, newhis. And many thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard of the 63 Day, or 71-75 Day thingee. I thought I had to wait until the 3rd statement cut to try. But I did some quick math and both my Cap1s are at 66 days. I tried it and got $2,000 on each card. That's only up to $5,000, and I may have left some money on the table. Maybe if I'd waited until Day 75, I'd have gotten $3,000.

But I was so shocked that it didn't offer me $750 that I was going to decline, I just took it! (More fool, me?)

Again, I'm doing the Happy Dance for you...and me. Congratulations And Thank You!

Btw, when should I try again? Anyone?

Congrats. I think I read 6 months for Cap1 but not really sure. The request is SP so I think people just try every know and then.

With Cap 1 it all depends on your usage and payment history with them. I was given a 7k CLI taking my card to 12k before the 3rd statement had even cut. All of my scores are mid 600's and I do have some baddies on each report. After that I checked the pre qual and saw the Venture pop up with the 17.99 apr so I applied and was approved for 15k that same day I received the CLI on the first Venture. My oldest Cap 1 card i have started as a $300 cl Journey student card in 2011 auto cli'd to 700 and in the past year after I found this forum I have grown that to an 8k limit. I was also approved for a Quicksilver 1 card in August of last year that started at $300 and is now at 4k. I have other cards from other lenders as well and I feel Discover is very similar to Cap 1 now as my card with them has gone from a 1500 CL to 7900 in 8 months. Use your cards for everything you can and pay them off or make large payments and the CLI's will come especially with Cap 1.

Nope. My cards are at 81 and 80 days for my QS and V respectfully, and I received a review on my QS and a 1k offer on my V (which I declined).
