Walmart Discover - GE Success Stories

I was reading so many GE success stories on the forum today and had my own luck yesterday with my Old Navy and Banana Republic accounts, I decided to call up about my Walmart Discover. The account was just opened in November and I was getting shot down for an increase when I called the number on the back of the card or tried on line. I figured what do I have to lose and called the back door number. Just like that 2K to 4k. Wondering if I should have asked for more? Didn't receive a counter just an approval for my request. And since it's a soft pull I am still in gardening mode!!!!

Congrats! Once you accept the increase from the UW then you cannot ask for more until a few months down the line usually 2-3 months.

Thanks chnceit! I planned on waiting at least another 4 months. I was just feeling aggressive today and wasn't happy with the starting cl they gave me back in November in light of my performance with some of their other cards.

I call the underwriters ONLY for clis on ge accounts, except w JCP. The underwriters pretty much do what you want at ge lol.... My next goal is to get a $25,000 line from them! 2-3 more months, and I'm there!!!
Congrats!! And don't forget to shoot for the stars... I've gotten a few $7,000 increases from GE!!!! Not to mention, many many $5,000 clis too!!!!:-)
