Chase Freedom CLI

Hello all, I fell out of the garden today with a limit increse request for my Chase Freedom. I opened it in April '15, but the 1k limit was too small for me to keep using it as my main card, so I bit the bullet and decided to try my luck at getting a CLI.

I called the main number on my card and talked to a nice woman that told be it would ba a hit point. I asked her if they would provide a counter offer if I stated a particular amount and she told me that I had one of two options. 1) I could ask for a particular amount and they would accept it or counter, or 2) she could leave the CLI request amount open and the system would give me an amount.

I asked for 5k knowing that it was a huge jump (especally for a Chase increase) and I justified it as matching my highest store card limit. a few seconds later the nice lady came back with an approval!

I feel like I left money on the table by not shooting for the moon, and the curiosity of seeing how much Chase would have given me is haunting, but all in all I'm very happy.

Summary: Chase Freedom CLI from 1k to 5k in 5 months.

My usage has been heavy since I opened it in April due to the 5% catagories being so good. Cycling about 2k per month PIF twice a month. never reporting a balance.
