BoA 1-2-3 Rewards, Recons work!

I knew it was a long shot, but I app'ed and got the counter offer for the 99/500. I felt like I have come too far to fall back into a partially secured card, so I called the recon number and asked to be reconsidered.

I stated my case, although my credit is fairly new, I've shown responsible habits that have been rewarded with higher credit limits and higher end card lenders. I felt that reflected was in my total credit profile and asked they review it in its totality. They used the same pull and after ELEVEN agonizing days of checking the credit card application page, they called last night with an approval. A 9pm phone call netted me a 2k starting line with BofA Rewards!

I'll take it and run! Thank you BoA!

Very big congrats to you! It sometimes definitely pays to keep up on the recon, at that point you have nothing to lose and all to gain!

Now I definitely need to plant myself in the garden. It's going to take a long while to recover from this 3 month spree of apps!

Congrats! Glad you were able to prove yourself. Use it wisely and it will grow with you. I use mine as my everyday card. Simple and straight forward. When I have issues, they are easy to talk to and they get the job done.

Ooh, can you elaborate on how boa qualifies using it wisely? I'd love to have a solid plan in place for this card to grow. (I've not had luck with Chase, Barclay or Amex.)
