My first $5,000 Approval!!!

Okay so I applied for the Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Plus card and I got approved for $5,000 instantly! This is so unreal because this is officially my first $5000 card! Not to mention that its the Visa Signature....OMG!! I'm so excited, my husband's 40th birthday is coming up and its totally going to be special. I added this to someone else's post last night while I was in class. I got the inspiration to apply when I saw that someone was approved for that much with a credit score of 640. I'm so stoked!

I don't know who they pulled yet....I applied while I was in class (bored to tears).

My scores have not changed (at the bottom of my sig)

I was approved for a Freedom two months ago for $1000

Also was approved for my first Amex Green Card

I just refinanced my husband's car under my name a month ago - $26,600

Never missed a payment on any of my cards

AAoA is 1 year (just started my journey same time last year)

Anything else I'm missing??

I don't think I could apply during class...I'd get way too excited, be smiling like a dope, and chipper than usual. Heck, I had a stupid smile on my face the whole class period when I was finally approved for the Chase Sapphire! When I saw it on my online account, I made a "YES!" noise, and my classmate gave me a strange look! XD

I did kinda look goofy and shocked in class! My friend was like "Did he grade your paper?!" I looked at her silly and and told her what had happened and she laughed and congratulated me. I applied on my iPad so she was looking at me like I lost it or something. It was either MyFico Forums or Candy Crush, LOL! After the approval, the boredom of the class just seemed so trivial. I was on a happy cloud!

I have one Merrick Bank charge off from 2010 that is paid off. However, I am learning that the more time that passes, the less it has an impact on my applications. Nothing else though, perfect history.

I did start off in July 2012 with a few collections and COs but I started in the rebuilding section of MyFico and then learned about Good will letters, settlements, BBB disputes and VOILA! I'm here now reaping all the benefits of the time I spent contacting and paying these fools off.
