Barclay Ring 6 month anniversary CLI !!!!!!!

I was checking my accounts as usual in the morning to find that my Barclay Ring received a $4000 CLI during the night. My card started with $7500 CL & I put a new roof put on my chicken coop (ie...my home) a couple of months back to the tune of $7000 charged to the card & apparently Barclay's liked the swipe fee they received & the big payments I've made.

I am surprised by Barclay doing that, everything I read seems to say they worry a lot and are cheap with CLI's....but I am sure your profile must be one they trust!

Congratulations! Did you PIF or did you spread out the payments some? I'm trying to find a good strategy with them since I got a paltry starting limit on my Ring. I've also got great bonuses on other cards so will find it difficult to run spend on the Ring anytime soon.

Not sure, but I was wary charging most of that credit line. I did call them in advance to let them know the large charge was coming & how I planned to pay it back ! I've not really used it where the amounts totalled more than $100 due in full until this purchase came along (I was kind of concerned that I would not be eligible until I brought it down further than I did, but apparently I was wrong).

Haven't paid in full yet, but I did tell them I would pay the entire amount off within 6 even payments & that's what I've paid to date ($1,150 each month). Perhaps it was the large charge, the payments they see from others, and that I pay my Sallie Mae MC in full each month.

Congrats. yep. They are like discover. They want the heavy usage and heavy payments. I just can't do it. But i dnt have the ring either with that lovely 8%. I will probably get it next year. But honestly. Im all apped out

I totally understand ! And I just want to "play along to get along", but I won' t use it anymore until the balance is nearly wiped out....you'll get your Ring someday as I wasn't expecting it when I did. Barclay's didn't like me a couple of years ago when I apped for the NFL card. Now they see we could have played nicely together
