2 AMEX APPROVALS (11 new accounts and 9INQ)

Hey all!!

I applied early Sunday morning around 2am for the Green, got approved! Then I thought about the Gold PR, I called in live during the PM rather online after seeing the advice from others in the community (ty!) the rep told I got 7-10 day message. I check the status today and APPROVED!!

Okay I have 11 new accounts since Sept 2014 and 9 new INQ in the last 12 months. My Experian is 748, I am about 14% Revolving, new Lexus lease I have not made my first payment so installment balance is high but my last Lexus lease is paid off.

I did not think I would get approved for the cards!! thanks community and AMEX!!!! I am done Unitl July 2016!!!

Got approved for Green Amex, but now I am thinking that the AF for the Green maybe worth I'd rather pay more for the one of the golds.

I applied onlineearly Sunday morning so new accounts is currently closed, I will need to wait until Monday or can I call a different department?

I have the Delta Gold-I have taken Delta 4 times this year and I can pack more and shop with the free checked bag, priority boarding, I think it is worth the fee.

Sorry, but you are SOL for 13 months, as upgrading would result in a higher AF and that is prohibited thanks to the CARD act.

Your only option is to cold apply for the higher tier cards if you do not want to wait.

It was a hard pull for the Gold (11 new accounts and 9INQ) but I got approved!!!!

Yeah, charge cards are relatively easy to get and with your numbers I'm not surprised. They have no pre set spend so Amex can limit the potential damage a card holder can do any time they want. And, they get to collect fees from you for the priviledge of using their cards. I know - I have two AMEX myself - PRG and Delta Sky Miles. So far the rewards make having the cards worth it as I get back more than the AFs I pay.

I agree about the AF. I have flown on delta 3x this year and perks are great with the sky miles as with the others too.

Lastly why gardening until July and not September 2016?

Hey,

i applied for the green card online, but I then I had card remorse, so I decided to go for the gold, but I called in instead of applying online. I could not upgrade-I had to apply new card. I applied for the gold about 12 hours later. Yes, it was another hard pull. All recent INQ will be gone or over a year old by next September.

Think I'm going to apply for the Gold Pr. The AF is kind of high. Did you get the 50,000 MR points?

I haven't applied for an Amex card since 1999. And I don't recall ever getting anything from them trying to get me to apply.
