After reading another poster's recent approval I mentioned it to DH (read strongly encouraged)...approved for $8k! It will be expedited so we an have it in time for our vacay.
Yes, I am an AU so my seedling will be around for 30 days

Edit: his credit scores are in the mid 700's. 4 inq's on EX - Cap1 03/13; Walmart 03/13; Amex Delta 07/13; Explorer 08/13 and CSP
no baddies, income $156,000, util before approval 17%

Congrats! I love my CSP - made my DH an AU as well so we've definitely enjoyed having it for travel and restaurants. and it's METAL!

Congrats to DH! I also applied for the CSP last night and was approved for 5k. The approval summary stated that if I felt amount wasn't enough to request desired amount at the time that I call in to activate my card. I will do this as soon as I receive my card this coming Monday or Tuesday since I asked to have it expedited.

I hope not! The only reason I am going to make request is because the approval message encouraged me to do so if I felt amount wasn't enough to meet my needs. I basically thought that I was being told that I could have more if I wanted it- guess one shouldn't assume. If HP is necessary, I will say no thanks and just wait. Thanks for heads up longtimelurker- I will make sure to ask about this first!

Don't let me tempt you. Remember, I had posted that it was DHs turn for apps. We did start a month earlier cause we wanted them before we leave.

That approval message is a standard/template message. They gave me $28.2K as my starting limit for the CSP and I also got that message with approval. As if that limit wasn't going to be enough?!? Yes, with Chase, I would bet that it would be a HP if you asked for more.
