NASA FCU I Love you! I really really love you!

This is the one credit union I had not joined that I really wanted to join. I was in the garden a month and a half and thought about pulling the trigger. I wanted to start a special projects savings account and decided to do it today and not wait for my scores to top out again. So I joined the credit union first. Approval in less than a minute. Then after thinking about it a little more, I applied for their rewards card. Prepared for a denial for too many new accounts and inquiries, etc, you can only imagine my shock when less than a minute of "thinking" I was approved for (are you ready for it? lol) 29,700!!! I had to print the approval page and take a second and third look. OMG! (Is that allowed in the forum? lol) Anyway, I am on cloud nine (edited for spelling. arggghhhh). My highest limit previously was 17k. Even if I was approved, I expected a low(er) amount. So that's my success story!

Celebrating tonight (We were doing this anyway, but now it is a celebration.) dinner and flamenco in my future! I may do a little dancing myself. (Don't think the performers would allow that, though.)

As others have said and it is so very true. This happened because I read so many threads on this credit union. Forum members, you are the BOMB!!!

Can NEVER get instantly past the security questions.... I just don't get it!

it asked last 4 digits of primary checking account... Where and how would they even get such information? I said none!

application went under review!

You know, I was thinking about that. I used my passport number to apply. So much of a life is in that passport information. I think that is one big reason it went so smoothly.

Sure is! I really think it made a difference. I couldln't believe how fast everything went through.

My EX score is currently at 742, with 6 inquiries and AAoA of 3.8 years. How do they feel about tax liens?

Now how sweet is THAT? If you wait to app after joining it will be an hp. So best to do it as soon as you get membership approval. Have you apped yet?

ETA: Not sure how they feel about tax liens. They denied me and wacdenny for "too much available credit". I also got the "too many new accounts". So I'm trying them again after I garden 6 mos to a yr. Only a sp though to find out.

Good question. Nothing has shown up yet. I am checking. I will let you know. That is one reason I joined the credit union first. I read on the boards that it was easier to get a soft pull. I have no idea if that is what happened., but I will post in this thread if I see a hard pull.
