Amex Delta APPROVED!

I gotta say I'm halfway surprised.. halfway not.

I've been itching to app for this card for a couple months and I really wasn't planning on app'ing for at least 1 more month but my insomnia is kicking in full throttle tonight so I just said 'what the heck!'.

And I was approved!

No idea what the CL is.. it's not in the email and I can't fully access my acct online until the card arrives.

Is there a phone number to call to get the CL?

I'm pretty excited.. I've got some travel coming up this summer so this card is going to help a bit!

Now the only question is will they backdate me to '98?

I had a secured Amex but I defaulted on it and it ended up being a CO.

That was a much younger, dumber version of me... I have no plans at all of messing up any of my accts since I've put forth the effort to rebuild and become desireable to these lenders.

We shall see...

i have also defaulted on amex before and have restrained myself from apping, as i may have been blackisted.

did you happen to get preapproval offers from amex, is that what made you decide to go for it?

I've gotten seemingly random "Pre-Selected" offers only for the GREEN card (not at all interested in that one)

My reason for wanting the Delta Skymiles card is that I'm going to be doing a bit of travel this spring/summer so the 35k miles + $100 statement credit are going to be VERY helpful ($100 off a flight to Nashville and then a free flight to Denver).

Don't have the card yet (of course) but I logged into my Amex account online and was stunned to see "Thank you for being a cardmember since 2000"!!!

I guess that means I'm backdated! w00t!!!
