Approved for Home Depot but not Lowes

HD has a small 500 limit but at least I got approved. I'm confused as why I wasn't approved for Lowe's as I have a Walmart card with synchrony bank already, with a great history. Happy at least I can do some shopping for my new house

Home Depot is a Citibank product, I believe.

First sorry on the Lowes decline...how long have you had Walmart?

secondly...Congrats on HD! Now...call int credit services, and request for $20-$25k...Its a SP within the first 30 days of approval. After 30 days...ALWAYS a HP..

I've had Walmart almost a year, always paid on time. They did an automatic click from 500 to 1300

ok..this is what I would do...

On Walmart card..go to chat button, (which is the green chat with an agent button) when you log into your acct online. Youll see the button right above where the transactions are..if its not there, give it minute...itll pop up, sometimes a delayed reaction. Get on chat, ask them to help you on thier end with a credit limit increase on your acct, ask for $10k, they will come back with a counter offer, or a denial. If a denial..dont sweat it..its a SP!!

On Lowes...how do you know you were denied? Did you get a meesage online that said 7-10 days?? If so...not always a denial, sometimes its a verification letter as well. Id call the Back door to Lowes and tell them you applied, and got a weird meesage, and do they need more verification to process your application.

You can find the BD# in the CC section, up at the top under "helpful thread", click on BD#...

Lowes maybe has diff. underwritting req. than Wally....anyhow what are stats, scores,baddies etc.

@Congrats! My room mate was approved for a HD card @ 1K. Helped her go to the chat and she got it increased to $6K.

Congrats on the HD approval! Agree with everyone one else, you need to recon asap! I had a very similar experience with Lowes. When I app'd online they came back with a 7-10 day message but I had several synchrony cards at the time with several years of experience. I went down to our local Lowes Store and asked them to check my application, they pulled it up and verified with my DL and I was approved in store the same day. Good Luck!

Hi. Congratulations on Home Depot. I just got approved online with Home Depot with 500.00 limit. I was denied for a lowes card and like you have a Walmart card so go figure??? I called the credit number for and increase and was denied😞but atleast I'm in the door. I will work hard on my credit and I'm thrilled watching my scores go up. I feel wonderful on my way to excellent credit. Have to start somewhere to rebuild. Overall, I'm so happy to have Home Depot. In my head, I promised to be loyal to whichever gave me a new start, so Home Depot you're #1...

Awesome!!! I can got approved for lowes but not home depot so. I feel your pain. Synchorny can be odd was approved for amazon but not wally. Then I got approved for wally several months later but then I couldnt get approved for lowes. Several months later got approved for Lowes but not care credit. Several months pass got approved for care credit but damnit I can keep this going all day. Congrats
