Congratulations, CC, very nice work. You do a solid job of targeting your credit profile toward specific things that will be helpful overall.

Absolutely applaud you getting rid of ALL the store cards too - that is a great step and I think it will strengthen your profile overall, and help you get rid of unnecessary dead weight.

The sportsman is the only Visa left that is soft pull via the sct. the rest are hp. but not this one. there is no doubt either.

It does seem to vary for Sportsman's Guide Visa - mine was HP through SCT, and CAPTOOL and a few others have reported that SCT for their Sportsman's Guide Visa was HP also. It has gone both ways, HP and SP. Best to be prepared either way, but certainly a really nice surprise if you don't get the HP. Not sure about others.

The only thing we can definitively determine abut Comenity is that there seems to be no real rhyme or reason for things

Re: Sportsman's Guide Via SCT

‎10-10-2015 06:50 PM

CAPTOOL said:

Great starting limit, way more than they gave me - and mine was a hard pull!

Gardening since yesterday.

CC you just got that jcrew to 10k now you are dumping them? Wow. you can have both. but i feel you. i will keep my jcrew even i will just use once a year. 10k is hard to give up. Just like my wally. another 10k. other store cards im not too concerned about. i only have 5 anyway. let me see. hmm. overstock. kingsize and jcrew, wally and hmm one more out there. macys' that is it. macys now at 12k. i can't give that much up. but as i said. i feel you for getting rid of them.

@Taxi.. Thanks.

I just don't like bumping up with to much available credit as I truely believe it will hinder future approvals whether instant or manual review by UW's.. This card is over a year old being the JCREW so don't mind dumping it. It isn't doing harm currently, but I really don't need the padding as I carry 200$ balance on CC at any given time for the time being. I know I can grow this card into a beast, but really think it will harm me more than help me in the long run.. Thus will cut it free when my other CL's report unless someone can sell me on keeping it.
