Discover CLI $1k to $2K

Tonight is my night! Wanted to do some online shopping and get 5% cash back, but I already had an $800 balance on a $1000 CL, and I didn't want to wait for a payment to process. So, I figured, what the hell--I haven't applied for anything since July, my new accounts have had a chance to age, and my CR has been squeaky clean for over a year now. My only concerns were 1) I had at least some balance on 2 of my other 3 cards, in addition to the high balance on my Discover, and 2) I had just requested a CLI from Discover over the summer (more on that here). But, I figured it was worth a shot all the same. So I called in; it took a hard pull, but I asked for an increase to $2000 and got approved! It feels great, especially since I was struggling to get a CLI on my $500 limit just a few months ago!

Thanks everybody! Sadly this means I'm going to have to say goodbye to this nice silver spade I've been nursing for the past few months, since it took a hard pull. But, it was totally worth it!
