Approved for US Bank Platinum visa...

I tried hard not to... but the offer came in the mail. Sent the app and got a 7-10 day wait message.... today they emailed me that I was approved... lol with my credit score? I gues it helps to bank with them? terms in the offer were 9 months no interest and 16.99% apr after that. When all my other cards are at 22.99%, except discover which is at 18.99%, i wanted lower interet rates. So here I go.

Someone take my SSN away from me so I dont app for two years...

Congrats. I am also US bak card holder and customer. Take care of that account. They reviewed my account around the 1 year anniversary.

Thanks guys! My account shows a $2,000CL not bad. Definitely will help out my util a lot. I haven't checked to see the APR though. If it's on the high side I will be disappointed...

I opened my US Bank Platinum about a year ago. Started with a $2K limit and 0%. At 6 months, the 0% went up to 23.99%, I believe. Yikes. Also, at 6 months, you can request a soft pull CLI. Mine was denied, though I have good credit, a great payment history with them and bank with them (and have for years and maintain a large balance in my checking account). Will try again @ 1 year... but for now, this card is in my sock drawer because of the HIGH APR.

I got my US Bank flexperks cash rewards visa back in Aug 2011 with an intro rate of 1.9% and I could of sworn it was supposed to be for 6 months, but maybe not since it's still showing as 1.9% -- some 9 months later. It's supposed to go 16.99% after the intro rate. Oh and it's a 3500 CL

This offer was probably a result of having a checking account with them for the last 7 years.

I would like to ask for a CLI up to 5k, but I don't need another inq!!

i apply the card last thursday and I called in today the staff said everything looks clear and is ready to go this late afternoon.

I just got 2 Plantinum cards from US Bank about 3 weeks ago. They've changed the fee structure on cking accts, so i called to see what I could do to avoid paying fees. If you have an active CC with them, that will waive the fee. The rep said that I can apply over the phone, so I said sure. Was approved at a much higher limit than I expected, at 0% for 1 year. Then, after the phone call, I checked my account on-line, and saw a message inviting me to apply for a card (it had been sitting in my message center for about 2 weeks). but, the invitation was for 20 months at 0%. so, I called back and asked if I could change the card I was just approved for to the 20 months 0%. they said no, but you can apply again. I thought - I don't need another HP, but applied anyway. Was approved!! my CL on the 2nd one was enough to pay off my car loan and show only 50% util! So, I'm very happy with US Bank now. I did balance tranfers on the first card, and they processed them in about 2 weeks.

I got my cards in less than a week -apped on a Friday and got them the next Wednesday. So, you should have your card soon.

If you don't need the 0% apr, then call and ask if the platinum card is eligible to switch to a cash+ card. I was able to switch my cards at 6 months and 4 months.

The cash+ only had 0% apr for 6 months.

yes, I applied the 16th. I was mistaken..I got the first card on the 21st and the 2nd card on the 22nd. since I opened a savings account at the same time (another req. to get cking fees waived), I got all the paperwork on that the 22nd, too. I was quite surprised....it usually takes me up to 2 weeks to get a card after approval.

i called the automated machine and it said my card was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but they didnt say the limit is.. needed to call them for that.....

how was ur experience with this card?? anything that new user need to know?

when i applied, I checked my account (I already had on-line access with them via cking acct), and about 5 minutes after the call ended, I checked my accounts page, and it was there. the rep said she couldn't tell me the limit, but said it would be on my accounts page "within a day or 2". If you don't already have on line access, you'll have to wait, I guess.
