Citi AAdvantage 50k miles

I received an offer in the mail to sign up for the American Airlines Citi card and I finally took the plunge. There was an invitation code and no set apr. I got an instant approval for $1800. I called to possibly get a higher cl but it would have cost me another HP.. I didnt bite.

Can someone tell me how long must I wait to apply for the CIti DC? I was told by a CSR to wait 60 days. Is this true? I apped for the card after the AA card and was denied. The CSR said they didnt run my credit because I just apped for another one of their cards.

Congrats on the approval. General 'rule' with Citi is to wait 8 days between applications. 2 within 8 days and 3 within 65 days. Of course, there are exceptions but that generally is most most people find to be the case.

Thats good to know. I was approved for a Citi Voyager but applied for this card about 1 hour later and was declined. Didnt know citi had that General "rule" to wait 8 days before apping again.

i2000s, I'm not applying now since I should be getting the 0% for 14 months with this card.

I got the targetted offer too, and will possibly take the plunge and go for a DC as well later.
