US Bank Flexperks $1,500 CLI

Called in today to ask about a CLI because I've had the card for 6 months. I've read on the board that they pull hard now for CLI but I asked her three times if it would be a soft pull and she said yes a soft pull. So, I said go ahead and see what happens. I asked for $1,000 and she told me they approved me for $1,500. She said that I must be special because it was an immediate approval. Ha! Anyway, I haven't gotten a notification of a hard pull yet so I should know by tomorrow if it was truly a soft pull.

I know this is an old post, but US Bank does mostly soft pulls for anything $1500 or less.

That is good to know. How often can one request CLI with USBank, without a hard inq? 3-4 months or more?

They like to see 6 months between increases. With the 1500 increase, your expierence may vary. I always ask for more than that and take a HP.

They have increased my credit limit to $5000 and upgraded to CashPlus couple of months ago. After 6 months, how much limit can I ask for? Is it too much to ask to make it $10,000?

It will be a HP, but you can ask for whatever you want.

I would call them and ask them to do a soft pull increase for $1,500. If you are a long time account holder there is a chance they will be able to process it without a HP.

They don't do increases until the 6 month mark.
