Ritz - Approved

Lets just say finally after a year of wanting this card - Approved. I put my application in monday went into two week message and woke up to an approval today.

I won't lie was expecting a bit more of a CL, but needless to say I was approved for 11.4k making my exposure across chase currently at 41k approx. Was just approved for the Hyatt 3 weeks ago approximately at 17.5k and of course have the CSP and freedom.

This card has been my nemesis or thorn in my side to get approved for as many of you have know. Anyways hopefully the 140k offer shows its face in the next few week and will SM for the 140k offer.. Just wanted to get my last application in for the year and get acocunt before they saw Penfed/Barclay's as this is the reason for the application before the 140k promo was back. Thanks for a few of you listen to me moan through PM's during this process.

No more applications for a year at least! 16 HP's on EQ now! Experian went un-hit sitting at 10 now and TU at 4.. 3/3 approvals in the latest round, can't complain, must be doing something right?

Update:

Moved a tid bit of another card limit over to bring it up to 16.4k now leaving my Hyatt at 5k.. So CSP/Ritz will be my "big boys" Ritz @ 16.4k and CSP@17.5k

BOOM!!! Congrats CC!! I too hope the 140k comes back soon and hope they honor it, I got mine in October as you know but had the 3k spend for the two night bonus, now it's 4k. I love it though, really happy I have it. All the best with it!!

Thanks for the congrats! Ya not sure if I have to put 3k or 4k through it as I went through a special link for the 3k for 2 nights vs normal link for 4k for 2 nights.. So if they choose to honor the 140k not sure if it will be 3 or 4k.. Needless to say I can meet either as not working on any spend bonuses. Just finished up Hyatt and Hawaiian airline spends this week.

If you card is already showing on your online profile does that mean it has been shipped? I think they are all over nighted or do I need to call and ask for it to be? Assume they are using my marriots # I already provided them. Heard when it shows up online means it means all is linked between chase/marriot aka ritz?

Thanks Baller! I am done or at least I hope I can stay strong for a year.. After cancelling two of my cards this last week and netting a few more sigh lol I am still only sitting at around 155kish in total credit. which makes me personally happy.. Out with the crud and in with the good..

I got mine within two days of approval, didn't call and ask for it to be expedited either. On another note, I just got a new one in the mail yesterday which at first was strange. I kept thinking to myself, I didn't order a new card, why are they sending another one? Then realized the first one didn't have the rewards account number, guess I wasn't automatically enrolled in the Ritz rewards program at first, the second card had the rewards number on it. Pretty cool, I've called a few times with questions and have always had a live person on the line and they have been super helpful. So far with just my first few calls and limited time w the card, the customer service has already eclipsed my Prestige and Platinum, neither of which are to be scoffed at in the customer service department either. You're going to be really happy.

Ya ritz priority service no one in the business can beat. Answer phone calls on one ring, etc... Will be cancelling platinum amex on 1 year mark as this will make it redundant overall and don't have any centurion lounces near me :/
