10K to 24K in seconds (AMEX)!!!

Went from 10 to 24K in a matter of seconds.....thanks to this awesome forum!

I'm kind of wishing I pushed the envelope a little and tried for 30K.......

Errrr - Then you have to go through a bunch of hell of verifying income after 25k I believe, lol.

That is amazing.

How long did you have the AMEX before you asked for CLI? What was your balance on the card at the time of request? How much did you spend on it before asking?

Congratulations on your CLI with Amex!

Asking for +$25k, doesn't necessarily trigger a request for tax transcripts.

@brianjb.....I had the card for 10 months. I was approved for 10K right off the bat. Kept the balance at 0 as I do all my cards (except one). The balance was at zero on the AMEX when I made the request. Credit score right now with experian should be 780's. Income is high. But I didn't have to verify.

@Lexie....that's what I read, and maybe I should have risked it, because I can prove the income if push came to shove.....

Thanks for the info. I'm wondering because I have two new AMEX cards with $10K limit (BCE and Hilton). That's the limit I started with. I keep mine at $0 balance. I'm wonderinghow much you spent with the card over the course of 10 months. Did you spend a lot to justify a large increase? Or did you just spend a couple thousand?

I was actually afraid they weren't gonna approve because I maybe spent 1K on the card since I got it......LOL

This,

I've seen multiple people as well as myself instantly approved for cards with over 25k limits and no one has ever been asked for tax transcripts.

Don't beat yourself up. In the end, you have to do what's comfortable. This forum has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer- it should be used as a reference not a template.
