I've FINALLY got my in with PenFed All it took was a Checking, Savings, & Thrift line to get approval on the Promise! Pretty happy with the starting line - not the best - but not my worst. $3500 & 16.99%.

NOW - when do I apply for the PLOC?

Anything else you apply for will be on the same credit pull, for up to 90 days.

Congrats on the promise... Just mine about 3 weeks ago as well.. The PLOC is a whole different beast with regards to UW. I was instant declined lol.. Will try again in a yaer when I have all my banking with them and some history with them!

Might be able to get a second card though. I got my Amex approved for $11k, then apped for the Visa Plat Rewards and got approved for $7k.

Sorry to hear ... Amazing thing I applied on the phone for overdraft aka thrifty line of credit and went into review!!! Hopefully this isn't a denial after my recent 7500k promise approval which also went into review and eventually approved and hopefully it will remain the same HP! Also does that show up on your CR as well being the 500 if approved or not? I will be shaking head in shame if I get turned down for the thrifty line of credit. I asked them if I could just link my promise to checking and the answer was no.. US Bank allowed me to do this. In proccess of moving from US Bank to Penfed just did 1% of my Direct deposit this last week to penfed and worked fine now going to give them 95% of it next check..

My history with them is fairly short so, others may have better input.

But here is my story with them in October:

Opened Savings, and Checking

Platinum Rewards approved for $6.5K @ 9.9%

Thrifty $500

Early November applied for a used car loan and went under review for 2 days and came bank denied for no installment history. Went right back with an e-mail saying what the heck showing 2 year old MC loan and my mortgage. Half hour later logged in and saw they had restarted a loan which was approved the next morning, after docs had the check in two days.

One pull for all. So far I love them.

Congrats! My penfed thrifty credit line shows up on my credit report under my revolving accounts as a line of credit.

Congrats! I have a BK7 Dc'd Jan 2010 and I was denied a few months back...ugh

Interesting info about thrifty line thanks! Hope I don't get turned down for it, if so will recon it and ask them to take 500 off visa for it lol... One would think that would be easier than CC, but I might prove this untrue as turned down for PLOC and Visa Rewards cards... Seems like they might of gave me all they want to until they get to no me?

Congratulations! Welcome to the PenFed family. I joined then applied for the Rewards card then Promise card. When I applied for the PLOC a couple of months later it was denied for being an Egyptian.
