CapOne Venture approved

Hello all,

While this is my first post, I have been scouring this forum here and there for a few months now trying to decide what card I want, my odds, etc. I felt it was my obligation to report to the community my results as I have gained a lot of knowledge from you all.

I just applied for the CapOne Venture card this morning and was approved with a $10K limit! Some of my stats:

$30K/year income

TU Fico: 691 (This is according to my free credit tracker on my Discover It card. I am not sure of my other Fico scores)

Discover It: $2800 limit (24% util)

CapOne QS: $4000 limit (48% util)

I've been wanting a travel rewards cards and I've also thought about the Chase Sapphire, but I felt my income and score would be too low to be approved, so I went with the Venture, and more than to my surprise, I was approved with a really good limit! I want to have 4 cards, but my next app is the furthest thing from my mind right now. I want to garden with the cards I have now, bring my util down and continue to build my score.

Thanks! I did do the pre-qualify before applying, and Venture was one of the options that came up.

congrats. first thing is the bonus spend. don't go christmas crazy, just pay your bills and usual spend. if you get close to the end and still need some spend then prepay auto insurance or just buy some precious metals (whichever is at a low), time it right and sell them back at a small profit.
