BECU CLI - 5K to 10K - Just Hit 24 Months Post Discharge - Totally Psyched!

Asked BECU to raise me from 5K to 15K. They approved me for 10K.

It's been a good week. I posted before this week I got Lowes from 2.8K to 10K, Walmart from 1.8K to 5K, and Paypal SC 2.8K to 4K.

24 months post discharge on 11/28/2015

Current TU 08 scores:

EX - 698

TU - 688

EQ - 688

Check out these mortgage scores ....

I feel like I'm rocking the world now. Also have:

Barclay's Aviator - 6.5K

CareCredit- 10.8K

Cap 1 - 29.25K

I'm most proud of the fact that I did this without opening CreditOne, First Premier, Fingerhut or any subprime card.

I used three secured cards. I just closed my two CU secureds for 1K each. I paid not one dime in fees or interest.

No Comenity cards.

FYI, there is absolutely no truth to the idea that it's hard to go from secured cards to unsecured. That is just not true.

Next step: Take the two, 1K deposit from two CU secured cards and open 2K Citibank secured. Also open 1K BofA secured (I burned them for 5k).

Also applying for one more Cap1 card (had three, now combined). Preapproved for 12.9%. Current account is 20.9%.

Wait six months and apply Penfed. Six more months apply NASA.

Feeling great!

Congrats! Is this CLI a CC or a PLOC? How long have you had the account? And was it a hard pull or a soft pull?

Thanks! I have had the card exactly one year. Opened for 5K. Did not request any CLIs before. It was an HP on TU. I just now applied for a PLOC for 10K. I got the pending notice. I guess I will know on Monday.

Thanks for the info! I just joined BECU in October, and there aren't many recent data points about them here.
