Discover approval finally!

Finally approved for a Discover SL 1000. Not very much but it's a start! Any advice on requesting a cli when I receive the card?

Congrats on getting your foot in the door! I've tried doing recon w/ discover and was told they do not process recons, but who knows the results might be different for you. Either way they seem to be pretty good with auto cli's! For some reason I've always gotten auto cli's when redeeming more than $25 cash back! tt's happened twice already so they seem to give out cli's based on usage. This card will definitely grow with you!

Wait wuutttt.

You redeemed cash back to direct deposit for more than $25 and they gave you auto CLI??!

Also, +1 for not being able to recon upon approval.

Wait 91 days, in the meantime use the card a lot and pay in full. I started with a 1,000 limit in July and by early November I had a 9,000 limit. By early October I was at 5,000 it can happen fast. I got denied for an increase at the start of December because I requested a day too soon. Congrats on your approval and I'm sure you can have similar success with your CLI in the future.

That makes me hopeful! Question - request the Increase on the 91st day or on the 92nd?

Thanks for info, was just approved for Disc $1500, had it for about a month
