AMEX Blue Cash Preferred 10k CL

Hi All

Just got approved for AMEX Blue Cash Preferred for $10,000 Credit Limit.

I'm surprised I got high CL. I heard from some say AMEX assign $2,000 CL a lot of times.

My FICO score is 767 with oldest credit history 3 years. I am only 27 years old though!

Currently got Chase Freedom (3k cl), Chase Slate (1k cl), CapitalOne Venture preferred (10k cl), now AMEX Blue Cash Preferred ($10k cl).

What do you all think?

Congrats! I love my blue cash preferred card and I'm sure you will as well. Make sure to maximize the points to offset the annual fee. You should also be able to grow that limit fairly quickly with proper use.

Congratulations, that is a nice starting limit!

I think many who report getting a First AMEX here are in some sort of rebuilding, or early in their credit building. In my case, my new-this-century first Centurion AMEX in 2013 was a $2k starting limit due to high balances on other cards, so a form of rebuilding there.

In your case, with a 767 that implies a very positive 3 year start. If others who were starting out were apping after 3 years of pristine payment history rather than 7 months, their starting limit would likely be similar

Congrats OP. Just got my first AMEX today as well and am rebuilding (side note: at what point is it no longer considered rebuilding) and my SL was 10k also. Score of 704 in my case.
