Update: Approved For Chase Sapphire Preffered

I just found out I will be traveling for work a lot this year and I already Dine out quite a bit. I can hit the 4k spend bonus for 50k ultimate rewards points. I just don't want to get denied. I went to their pre qualified link and I was pre qualified for the CSP and Slate. I have a freedom card which I am using and have 20k ultimate rewards points. I have scores in the 720 range. No baddies on my accounts. I just recently opened a AMEX card in November. Last year I opened a Barclay card in March 2015 and refinanced my auto loan with a CU in July 2015. I have heard that chase does deny with too many new accounts. What do you guys think?

Got my card Friday. Looks nice, little heavy. I didn't think my name and the card number on the back would be raised but it is. It is metal numbers and they look nice. I transfered my UR points from the Freedom to my CSP. I was looking at travel and the 20% discount is slick. I'm going to be saving UR points this year and I hope I'll have enough to take a free vacation next winter. With the 20k in points I have and the 55k in points I will recieve this year from the sign up bonus I am hoping to have around 100k in points by july/august. Should be close at round trip airfair to my winter destinination for two.

Another reason I like this card is the fact that I did not have a Visa that had no foriegn transaction fees. So now I have 3 MC and a Visa with no FTF. I think I'll be set. Still thinking of getting rid of my Venture and putting my limit on my QS then upgrading my Arrival to my Arrival+ so I will have 2 points per dollar for anything that isn't resturants, travel or in my freedom catagory for the current month.

I have opened 3 Credit cards in the past 24 months, Chase Freedom June 2014, Barclay March 2015, Amex Nov 2015.

If he is prequal'd for it I'd go for it, they are deffinitly solid prequals from chase.

This is seriously the biggest factor. If you have only opened 3 like you said, you will have no problem getting the card. I use it only for travel and dining out and it more than covers the AF. I probably travel 10-12 times a year.

If you're only at 3 accounts and your scores and income are solid and you already have a card with them AND you're prequalified, well, I'd say you're golden. Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but I think in your case we can say 99% you'd be approved.

Sorry had a late work dinner. Just app'd, instant approval for 15k limit at 20.54% interest. Should I ask for a higher limit when I activate? Funny thing is, I hit the submit button and immediately got an email from credit karma about a new inquiry, 3 seconds later email from chase saying my card will arrive in 7-10 days. I'll be using it as my prime till I hit the 4k spend then I'll just use it for travel and dining. I should have 100,000 ultimate reward points by the end of the year.

Just logged into my mobile chase account. My new card is showing up with my 15k limit. I hope this gets the ball rolling to increase my other card limits, would love to see my Amex, venture and Barclay card increase.

Only a mod can move a thread for you. I have changed the title to an approved you can edit it yourself as well if you wish and I have moved this to the approvals forum.
