Discover CLI(never used card)!!

So I applied and was approved for the Discover It Card back in June 2015. The SL on the card was $1,500. So it has been in the sock drawer since I got the card. Tonight, just out of boredome, I said, let me check my card and seek a limit increase. Sure enough, poof! The gave me a $1,000 increase to $2,500!
I know the Discover train was off the rails last summer, but are they still giving 31 day CLIs or should I at least use the card first?

Yes. And no. Some are getting 31's, some are getting 91's, some are getting a mix, and some are getting nothing.

Just because you got a smaller Sl than what you would have liked, I wouldnt have just not ever used the card because of that!.

The majority of everyone here gets a CLI every 91 days. Mine started at $800SL....its now $3.3k.....I get a $500cli every 91 days plus a third statement, like clockwork!.

Use the card the Pete's sake, and then try for a CLI in 91 days, and see what happens!

I didnt use my Discover because the limit was low, I just got used to using my Amex Everyday card. I actually took my Discover card out of the sock drawer this morning to put some mild spend on it. I would love to get the card up to about $5K or so. I just found it humorous that I hadn't even used the card and they gave me a limit increase. lol
