Affinity FCU Credit Card CLI $5000 after Auto loan pull

Hello All,

Today i got a good CLI on my first 4 yr old credit card. It was $500 when i received 4 yrs before,and everytime i ask they said they would do new HP for CLI, so i just skipped it. Last week i went for Auto loan rate shopping and Affinity is one of them. I didnt went through the auto loan due to competitive auto loan rates from DCU/Penfed. But i asked the member service department if they can use that same HP(700 EX) to increase my long time CC.

They happily used the same credit pull and increased the $500 limit to $5000.

I did got some auto loan rate shopping from BOFA and Capital One. They did HP. Can i ask the same with BoFA and Capital one to increase the CLI on my existing credit cards? Did anyone succeed on this scenario?

Can't hurt to try calling as youre stating that car shopping blew up your inquiries and you want to use the same one but often they use bank card and auto loan ficos which are similar but different score algorithms
