Applied for a Chase Sapphire Preferred account via online. Got an email "pending - will have an answer in 30 days" response. Called the recon number to speak with an anyalist, they denied the application due to too many hard pulls in the last 2 years. (FYI- no previous hard pulls from Chase) I asked if I could switch the CL's of my other Chase accounts, I have three - he said no. Asked if I can switch from my Chase Freedom account (which I never use) that has a 5K CL. They transferred me to another department. They allowed me to transfer accounts. I then asked for CLI. It was pending. I them asked to transfer back to an anaylst, and they could not due to the over 10 min wait time. Hung up, called the backdoor number and spoke with an anyalst. Approved the CLI increase form $5K to $10K. Credit score: 748/756/765 - Income $140K. Total credit limits $150,000.

.. I would of waited it out.. the lending department can be really rude at times.. but congrats!
